As well as washed out roads we had a total flat tyre on the first car we had around 20miles up some dirt road north of Gillette. It was quite a job changing the wheel so I was too annoyed to fot that experience. We ordered a new tyre, seen here on delivery. We then changed the car at Billings International Airport to a much better one, a Hyundai Santa Fe - good name for a car too. Now sell the Saab and buy a Hyundai... Across the Missouri River at Trident, Montana can be seen the remains of the Milwaukee Road Western Extension, and if you look carefully the wooden electrification masts can be seen in various states of collapse.
